INSIDE EXPERIENCE, NOT JUST ACCESS
Before founding Lucas Strategies, Brooke Lucas ran state government from the inside. She was Chief Operating Officer of the Teachers Retirement System of Georgia, a $76 billion pension fund, and Chief of Staff of the Georgia Department of Labor, with a $437 million budget, nearly 4,000 staff and 46 facilities, where she led the agency through constantly changing federal and state laws and regulations, connected businesses with skilled workers, and made it simpler for private industry to work with the department. Earlier, she managed economic development projects for Georgia EMC and the Macon Economic Development Commission.
